About my work: I have allways been an artist(or tried to be one) ever since I can remember.My family was just average lower middle class people just trying to live life.I think moving around alot as a child because of my fathers work had it's influence on my escape from reality,that ended up on paper in some form or another.I knew I was the black-sheep of the family at an early age,and never tried to fight it.What I did try to fight,and lost,was the transitsion to digital art.Only in the last 3years have I used the medium and embraced it.The downside to it, is it makes things too easy sometimes with the instant results that would take a painter hours to accomplish, can be done in a mouseclick.The upside is the power to manipulate and manage images in a way only digital means can deliver,letting your imagination work at a faster pace seemingly.I do believe though an artist should allways learn the basics from the ground,up.Composition, color,design,are allways going to make or brake a piece of art, no matter what the content is or the medium it is made with.I used to spend hours pouring thru magazines cutting out with my x-acto blade image after image,carefully spraymounting them until the collage was finished.my friends and strangers would look at the final piece and say"Oh, you do computer art?"....I would laugh and tell them, no, those are all hand cut images manipulated on color copiers.They could not beleive me until I produced the "masters" to show them the original work.Sometimes I miss those days.....sometimes I don't.It does make me feel like I paid some dues, somewhere down the line though.I do hope you enjoy my work here,if only to bring your mind to an escape to another place,if only for a moment.
